As part of our botany study we chose flowers to plant, prepared the soil, arrranged our design, and atttended to the needs of the plants. The children and adults love this annual event, as well as taking care of the flowers throughout the growing season.
Since 1981 we have been opening our doors to the community as we celebrate this season of harvest and cultural traditions. Our Festival was abundant with nourishing foods, friendship, cookie baking with the children, face painting, henna tattoos, a craft honoring Diwali, a presentation of the violin, and MUCH more!
During this four-hour event, over 70 people gathered to share, play, explore, and discover what our Montessori Playgroup community has to offer.
I so enjoyed my conversation and podcast with Yogi, where we explored the art of observation, discernment, and connection, discovering practical strategies for knowing when to support and when to let go in your child’s learning journey.
