This course is for those who wish to offer guidance to both children and their parents, in a variety of settings.
The course will open for enrollment on November 16, starts on January 11, 2026, and ends on February 21, 2026. Add your email on this page to receive updates.
This is a blended course, which means that it is both virtual and live. You move through each week at your own pace, and we all meet together weekly via Zoom.
You will also engage in discussion and interaction with your fellow students throughout the course, offering opportunities for connection and collaboration.
With the virtual weekly meetings and online class work, you may spend between 4 to 6 hours per week.
As in all things in life, however, the intention and attention you bring to your process is dependent on you, and will create your experience.
Pamela will be engaged with you throughout the course, through comments, and in our weekly live Zoom classroom. She can be reached through the chat message on the course page, and will be interacting within a private Facebook group set up for class participants once the course is completed.
You will continue meeting with Pamela twice after the six-weeks, during two one-hour virtual mentoring sessions.
On Wednesday evenings from 8:00 - 9:00 pm ET and Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 11:00 am ET. If you are in another country, please speak with Pamela about arrangements for your attendance.
Dates are:
Wednesday, January 14, 21 & 28, February 4, 11 & 18
And
Saturday, January 17, 24 & 31, February 7, 14 & 21
These gatherings are for live interactions with your fellow students, as well as with Pamela. We all learn together as we share our questions and reflections.
After completion of all Course requirements you will receive a Certification of attendance for 8 Continuing Education Units, equivalent to 80 clock hours. A Certificate Request Form will be made available at the end of the course to confirm your successful completion of course requirements. Your certificate will be sent via email.
It is recommended to confirm with your local licensing agency prior to registering if you are relying on having the certificate approved for CEU hours.
If it is not possible for you to attend the live Wednesday evening meetings, you can come to the live meeting with Pamela on Saturday mornings at 10 ET. The dates for these Zoom meetings are January 17, 24 & 31, February 7, 14 & 21.
Mentoring sessions will be:
Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 8:00 pm ET
Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10:00 am ET.
This difference in days and times will help to accommodate students from different time zones.

This course has been amazing!
It's beautiful,
deep, thought provoking and I've learned just as much about myself through this course as I have learned
about starting a Montessori Parent and Child Community. It's practical while also being deeply focused on
the core of the Montessori philosophy. Highly recommend if you are at all interested in starting a Parent and
Child group!
Pamela has a wealth of knowledge to offer and has a way to speak/whisper to your heart. This course is much more than running a playgroup, it allows one to be searching IN while looking OUT and eventually leads one to a journey of self-discovery. This course is highly recommended if you want Montessori to be a living practice, a verb, instead of being just a noun. Thank you Pamela for your guidance.
This is such an eye-opening experience for me. I am a head of school and an experienced primary Montessori teacher. I took this class to enrich our infant toddler program and with the idea of opening a Parent Child class to serve our community. We have also sent 3 teachers in this class as a form of professional development, and I saw firsthand the impact of the learnings they brought to their classrooms. The resources, experience and support that Pamela provided is priceless. For those who are thinking of taking this class. I will 100% recommend for you to take this class and dive deeper on the child, the parent and the guide.
Pamela was so kind to share her many years of experience and vast knowledge with us all. I saved many resources to use in my future PICC once it begins. I have also gained a new network of like-minded people to lean on for support as I begin this journey. I have such gratitude for this course and am motivated to get the ball rolling on a long- time dream of mine. Thank you so much!

This process has been one of great enlightenment and transformation. Pamela has thoughtfully curated an abundance of material that explore the theory and practicality of being with children and parents in a prepared environment.
I truly appreciate the multifaceted approach to this program, as well as the opportunity to come together "live" each week to commune and discuss as a group. Thank you, Pamela, for the opportunity and for guiding us on this journey
I cannot recommend this course enough for anyone interested in starting their own parent and child program, or just looking to grow as a guide.
Pamela's approach is warm and inviting, and her patience and openness put me immediately at ease. I walked away from each class feeling seen, inspired and empowered, which is exactly how I would want the parents in my own classes to feel. I mean, we all want that, not matter our age, right?
