Watch this video, which you can enlarge, and see infants in the Adult-Infant community at Ananda, at home, outdoors, experiecing life. This is Montessori, which is not limited to any boundaries, but is experiential.
This meeting at the easel during Adult and Toddler class is textured with layers of experiences between and within the children.
Singing and Signing
“At some given moment it happens that the child becomes deeply interested in a piece of work; we see it in the expression on his face, his intense concentration, the devotion to the exercise.”
Maria Montessori, The Discovery of the Child
Coming to Ananda has been a blessing to our family. I am grateful for this nurturing environment for adults and children. and most of all for this space of learning and inner work for us as adults.
We all learn as a community! And the best part is that this happens in a relaxed manner where Pamela passes on her wisdom in a loving and caring way.
What happens here definitely transcends beyond its walls. I highly recommend to others to enter this beautiful world at Ananda Montessori
Having a child at Ananda Montessori has completely re-opened my vision of what children (and adults) actually need to form a successful, happy environment that allows us to thrive in our lives.
This space where he is allowed to be himself has not only helped him to grow as an individual in this setting, but has also created an environment where he feels comfortable expressing his needs and desires.
This continues to enable him to grow and thrive into a caring, empathetic, curious, explorative individual. We have seen that practicing the principles of the Montessori environment gained from Ananda and creating that environment in our household has produced incredible results.
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much" ~Helen Keller
Each month on the fourth Monday evening, parents, grandparents and caregivers gather together at Ananda Montessori for time with their peers. During this time we bring focus to different topics on parenting, child development, Montessori principles, observation, and much more, in a supportive environment prepared for the adults.
Each family enrolled at Ananda Montessori receives a copy of "The Montessori Baby", "The Montessori Toddler", or "The Montessori Child" book, by Simone Davies.
