This Course is designed to support anyone currently facilitating Montessori Parent-Infant and Child classes, and anyone who is in the beginning of this process. Prior Montessori training is not required.
This experience is intended as a process-centered personal exploration, supporting your own discovery of what you are longing to offer. If you are looking for a place to be told how to start a Montessori Playgroup, this is not what I offer, out of respect of your own unique creative path.
The course will open for enrollment on August 2, 2026, starts on October 4, 2026, and ends on November 14, 2026. Add your email on this page to receive updates.
This is a blended course, which means that it is both virtual and live. You move through each week at your own pace, and we all meet together twice-weekly via Zoom.
You will also engage in discussion and interaction with your fellow students and Pamela throughout the course, offering opportunities for connection and collaboration.
With the virtual weekly meetings and online class work, you may spend between 4 to 6 hours per week.
As in all things in life, however, the intention and attention you bring to your process is dependent on you, and will create your experience.
Pamela will be engaged with you throughout the course, through comments, and in our weekly live Zoom classroom. She can be reached through the chat message on the Course page, and will be interacting within the private Community Space set up for class participants.
You will continue meeting with Pamela after the six-weeks, during two one-hour virtual mentoring sessions.
On Wednesday evenings from 8:00 - 9:00 pm ET and Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 11:00 am ET.
Dates are:
Wednesday, October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4 & 11
And
Saturday, October 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, & 14
These gatherings are for live interactions with your fellow students, as well as with Pamela. We all learn together as we share our questions and reflections. These meetings are required if you wish to receive certification, along with your Course assignments.
If it is not possible for you to attend a meeting due to your location, you can come to the other Zoom meeting during the week. Look to the Zoom schedule to find what is possible for you, and let Pamela know if you are missing a meeting.
As this Course includes twice-weekly Zoom meetings, if you need to miss one, you can watch the replay and write up your reflections to send to Pamela as part of your assignments.
After completion of all Course requirements you will receive a Certification of attendance for 8 Continuing Education Units, equivalent to 80 clock hours. A Certificate Request Form will be made available at the end of the course to confirm your successful completion of course requirements. Your certificate will be sent via email.
It is recommended to confirm with your local licensing agency prior to registering if you are relying on having the certificate approved for CEU hours.
Mentoring sessions will be:
Wednesday, December 9, 2026 at 8:00 pm ET
Saturday, January 9, 2027 at 10:00 am ET

This course has been amazing!
It's beautiful, deep, thought provoking and I've learned just as much about myself through this course as I have learned about starting a Montessori Parent and Child Community. It's practical while also being deeply focused on the core of the Montessori philosophy. Highly recommend if you are at all interested in starting a Parent and Child group!
Pamela has a wealth of knowledge to offer and has a way to speak/whisper to your heart. This course is much more than running a playgroup, it allows one to be searching IN while looking OUT and eventually leads one to a journey of self-discovery. This course is highly recommended if you want Montessori to be a living practice, a verb, instead of being just a noun. Thank you Pamela for your guidance.
Amazing course, a life changer in heart, in perspective, and professionally! It has been a turning point for me. I learned ways to connect with children and with parents in a very meaningful way.
I never thought I would be so shaken and moved, so inspired, so grateful for the experience. It moved me as much as my former training did, but now, I'm ready to integrate everything more deeply. With much gratitude and love.
This is such an eye-opening experience for me. I am a head of school and an experienced primary Montessori teacher. I took this class to enrich our infant toddler program and with the idea of opening a Parent Child class to serve our community. We have also sent 3 teachers in this class as a form of professional development, and I saw firsthand the impact of the learnings they brought to their classrooms. The resources, experience and support that Pamela provided is priceless. For those who are thinking of taking this class. I will 100% recommend for you to take this class and dive deeper on the child, the parent and the guide.
Pamela was so kind to share her many years of experience and vast knowledge with us all. I saved many resources to use in my future PICC once it begins. I have also gained a new network of like-minded people to lean on for support as I begin this journey. I have such gratitude for this course and am motivated to get the ball rolling on a long- time dream of mine. Thank you so much!

I cannot recommend this course enough for anyone interested in starting their own parent and child program, or just looking to grow as a guide.
Pamela's approach is warm and inviting, and her patience and openness put me immediately at ease. I walked away from each class feeling seen, inspired and empowered, which is exactly how I would want the parents in my own classes to feel. I mean, we all want that, not matter our age, right?
